‘Soho Square’, an established advertising agency, undertook the challenge of relocating their operations from a mainstream, passive environment to a new, vibrating and inspirational workspace.
The architectural concept focused on exposing the existing space -both literally and metaphorically - and introducing an open-plan approach with custom, arched, polycarbonate made, light-structure functional dividers that ensure smooth operation across all departments while maintaining interaction between them. By removing the existing internal walls and suspended ceilings, the structural elements and infrastructure were revealed, forming continuous spaces that promote collaboration and exchange. A deep green color was used to unify everything on the ceiling as a design tool for identity and spatial organization. The floor plan was organized into distinct zones corresponding to the company’s functional units - areas for creative teams, management, meetings, and relaxation. Smooth transitions between zones are achieved through subtle curved changes in color and materials. The curved floor transitions create an open dialogue of free forms though out the workspace.
